Colorado offers many different options for hunting deer along with different species of deer. Rifle, Archery and Muzzleloading rifles provide opportunities for all different types of hunters. Both Mule Deer and Whitetail Deer are abundant in Colorado.

Colorado has a large amount of public land that is accessible for hunting Mule Deer and White-tailed Deer. The best way to find the area you are looking for is to take a look at the State Wildlife Area Map and set the correct filter. Make sure to click the drop-down “Hunting” and select the species of Deer you are looking to hunt.
